DIY Halloween Costume Challenge

This Halloween, don’t just wear a costume. Engineer one.

How could you make wings flap, hide a secret surprise or build a costume that transforms?

This free costume engineering pack invites children to turn their own ideas into something they can actually wear. Starting with a creature, character, object or entirely new invention, they’ll sketch possibilities, choose materials, build, test and improve their design.

Cardboard, fabric scraps and a little imagination become opportunities to solve real engineering problems. How will that piece stay attached? Can you move comfortably? What could you change when something doesn’t work?
